The Mass Generator Training system was designed by me in 1999. It started as something I tried on my (rather unfortunate) coaching clients. The results were mind-blowing. Out of 20 people, 17 gained 10lbs of muscle tissue and a reduction of body fat by 5% in just 30 days of following my system. This was without any change to their diets and all were drug free. The other three gained in excess of 14lbs. Word soon spread and a certain Mr. Olympia constestant asked me to try out the system on himself. He won the show and the rest is history. As a thank you for helping him win the show (I told him I only pointed the way up the mountain, it was he that climbed it but he said it was me who made him win – I won’t argue!) he put up the money for me to print The Manifesto of Mass as he said others MUST also be allowed to try out this awesome training system.
Now the Mass Generator Systems is ten years old. People from beginner to pro have never seen or tried a system quite like it. Even though I have tweeked one or two things, the system was (and is) so far ahead of anything else ever created that little needed to be taken away, added or improved. If it works, why mess with a winning formula?
The Mass Generator System as it stands now is my own creation, but I would never be so arrogant to suggest that it was all from my head alone. Others lit the way, many sadly no longer with us. The most notable was Mike Menzter, the other was Arthur Jones. The system is a mix of HIT (High Intensity Training) and Holistic Fibre training. Over the years I have had thousands of people telling me that they never thought it possible that to just train a different way and follow different paths than constantly advertised in Muscle magazines (they do NOT want you to get big or lean because then you would not buy their supplements and magazines!) and that they grew faster than ever before. This is something I hear day in day out and it makes me feel proud and privalaged to have helped so many Bodybuilders from around the world achieve their goals as fast and as safe as possible. The sport has given to me and this was me giving something back.
In 2010, in preparation for The Manifesto of Mass 4 (2011 Edition) myself and Agent-x went to a London Universtity to get solid proof and evidence that my Mass Generator Training and rules actually did something special – biohemically speaking – that other systems did not. Most systems do not train all the muscle fibers and also most overtrain you and produce cortisol and adrenaline both of which end up making you smaller, weaker and fatter!
After getting 200 Bodybuilders from those who had trained for a year to those that have trained for decades we made sure all of them were drug free and changed nothing but their training and applied the Mass Generator rules. The results were mindblowing. Space does not allow me to put down all the 200 results but it is interesting to note that Growth Hormone, Testosterone and IGF-1 levels were off the scale! Something like 35% increase. This is like taking a tab or two of dianabol and a shot of Growth. The results also showed that the immune system was NOT affected by this style of training AND cortisol was hardly ever above the baseline. None of the 200 Bodybuilders had ANY injury, no matter how slight. The researchers said they had never seen any training system EVER show this kind of results. Ever area from the lack of Injuries to the monster hormone increases were just unique. They gave us the seal of Approval and also solid SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, that this system works.
Any way this is part one of a five part series which will give you some idea of how to use the Mass Generator Training. It seems every day someone comes along with a new and improved system of weight training scientifically designed to stimulate the muscle fibers unlike any other program ever could. I am so amazed that people are that stupid as to buy into this bull. The pulp fiction magazines don’t help the situation either. One month you read a fake training article on how your bodybuilding hero built his biceps—Hopefully you realize all these articles are Ghost-Written, in other words not written by the bodybuilder concerned. Arnold had this so most of his routines are bull—the next month you get another routine from another Pro that is even better. The fact is that even the real routines work for these pros because they are on loads of gear and genetically so superior they would gain muscle just by looking at gym equipment. Those of you who save your magazines need only go back and glance at the last few years of your collection to realize that it is all the same stuff repeated ad nauseam with minor changes and new pictures. Let’s face it, a truly informative magazine that had unique articles each month would be about 25 pages max (which is basically what you get when you remove the adverts and fake supplement promoting ‘articles’, so the editors feel compelled to go for quantity instead of quality and of course they are in the business to sell magazines every month and make money for and from their advertisers.
To me, when it comes to reading an article that is talking about a new system of training or nutrition or steroid use, a general rule of thumb to follow is that if the article is layered with a lot of big, scientific terminology, then crumple it up and save it for the next time you run out of toilet paper. A good writer or teacher has the ability to speak to all facets of society at the same time and a really good writer has the ability to use very simple terms and examples to explain highly technical concepts and theories. A bullshit artist on the other hand likes to use these big words in an effort to confuse and baffle as many people as possible because people tend to give credibility to people who use big words. That is why my articles are some of the most popular on Bodybuilding.com and why my books are some of the highest rated in the industry simply because I treat you like a human being and aim to write for you, not to make myself look big and baffle you with science. Those writers just write for themselves, not for the reader.
Let’s give a quick example:
Upon grasping the cylindrical carbohydrate, fat and protein source, the organism used it’s copious muscles of mastication along with sufficient temporal mandibular locomotion to activate the digestive enzymes and begin the process of nutrient absorption which was to take place in the mucus lined acid pouch within the bowels of the creature.
That’s a bullshiters way of saying the following:The guy picked up a cheeseburger and took a big bite, chewed it up and swallowed it.Keeping this in mind, I would like to explain a little bit about the way I train and how it might benefit you in your gym efforts. I call it the Mass Generator System becuase it does just that, generates unbelievable amounts of muscle in a rapid time for MOST people who do it PROPERLY and even those that do it half assed. Yes it is that good. It is not all my idea, no way, never said that. It is based on Mike Menzters and Arthur Jones High Intensity principles with my own discoveries on how to make it better thrown in. This makes the system near perfect in a pure muscle building way. Because when the body fails, the set just begins, this system is tough. No more train a little, stop recover. This is all out war. Take no prisoners, make me a bunker to recover from the fallout type of training. This system philosophy cuts through all the bullshit of slow twitch, fast twitch, rep speed, training for size, training for strength bullshit that people like to write about that sounds just great but does not work in the real world. The real world is you guys who pay their gym subs, buy the supplements, visit the shows. Real people with real everyday genetics and lifestyles who cannot live in the gym and spend hours training. The good news is there is no need to do that. You can do a routine in 20 minutes flat.
First and foremost it is imperative to understand that the body is capable of a lot more than we tend to give it credit for. You can push the hell out of it and it will recover. The principle here is to let it recover otherwise your workouts are a waste of time. Useless in other words. But within the workout you will be able to hammer the body more than you ever thought possible. I have trained people who are busting a gut just lifting the bar, but they have done the business because every ounce of effort went into doing the job. The idea is to get in , hit hard and then get out. Guerrilla warfare training. Do the most amount of work and put the most amount of effort in the least amount of time. One body-part can take as little as ten minutes, but that ten minutes will be the most productive of your life if you put your heart and soul into the sets or ‘set’.

Past failure training is very simple and very self-explanatory and few people will ever do it because it hurts just too damn much. Sooner or later one of the four demons comes along and claims another victim who attempts to travel down the path of Past Failure training. It is not fun, it is uncomfortable, it causes pre-workout anxiety and fear, AND IT PRODUCES MASSIVE RESULTS.
The number one element that must be present in Mass Generator Training is 100% Maximal Effort. No being a wimp, there is pain to go through and this sorts the men from the boys and always has, no laughing and conversing during or between the sets.
Mass Generator training demands that when you are doing a set, as you begin to go to failure, where you cannot complete a full range of motion on your own and you are at momentary failure, you either drop the weight and pick up a lighter one and continue to failure again (and so on) or your training partner helps lifting the bar for another 6 – 10 reps—before you are allowed to stop. Only when you can lift no more, even if it is just the bar, then and only then is that set and the exercise complete. You may find that the entire body-part is so stimulated that is is job done for the day. This can be done in one massive set incorporating drop sets and so on. You are in tremendous pain, you are nauseous and dizzy and you want to go home and kick the dog or cat, or something, anything, to let something else know the pain you are in.
Next time we will delve deeper into this level of intensity and training and give examples of how one would train each body-part using this style of training……. the weak will not survive!
